Why choose Dr. Butchert?
Dr. Butchert has been practicing optometry for over 25 years. In addition, he has worn glasses and contact lenses himself for over 36 years, resulting in 61 years of combined experience. This means that he has personally experienced many of the same conditions you have experienced as a glasses or contact lens wearer and can relate to your situation. Dr. Butchert has a detail oriented personality, which means he will take the time to make sure the details of your prescription and ocular health conditions are addressed.
Dr. Butchert also strongly believes in educating the patient through visual aids, and will take the time to explain to the patient not just verbally but with the use of visual aids and diagrams so that the patient will better understand what the condition is and will be more likely to remember what the doctor said after they leave the office. Dr. Butchert is also able to treat most eye infections and perform foreign body removals from the eye. |

Our technology...
Dr. Butchert is a modernist and prefers to have the newest technology at his disposal to care for his patients. Shortly after buying the practice, he upgraded to new diagnostic instruments that modernizes patient care. In 2014, he switched to the Acuity Pro visual acuity system, a computerized visual acuity system that has improvements and advantages over the older, bulb based projector charts. This is the same acuity system used by NASA on the International Space Station. In November 2015, we added a retinal camera, an instrument which allows us to take a picture of the back of the eye, for improved health diagnosis and documentation.
